Elizabeth Reaser, an American actor from the film, television and the theatre, best known for roles such as The Twilight Saga as well as shows like Greys Anatomy or True Detective. They also received a second tape showing her performing MMA. After asking if she was capable of doing sword fights, she immediately sent the producers a brief video. Jessica had studied the script prior to making her first video of the weapons class. Jonathan Glassner stated that they had awed by Jessica's skills at the beginning of her training. Jessica's first time in the United States for a major film role, since previous films were located in Australia. The film capitalizes on Jessica's love for action by utilizing her mixed disciplines of horse riding, martial arts as well as weaponry skills and athletic skills that allow her to perform stunts and thoroughly play the role of a strong woman. She learned boxing, muay Thai and is a member of the gym for mixed martial arts in Australia. Jake Stormoen was on the Season 4 set when he encountered a dog that was wandering around.
